Well Dweller collectibles and challenges
Well Dweller hands its lore and its extra currency to collectors. Everything below is confirmed by launch-week reviews and the official store page; exact counts per category will be filled in as players finish their first full runs.
The collectible checklist
| Collectible | What it is | Why collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Storybook pages | Pages from a storybook — appropriately, also titled Well Dweller | The game's namesake narrative collectible, tracked on the map's PAGES tab |
| Mailbox letters | Letters from Glimmer's mother and characters you meet | Side story and character flavor, delivered through the world |
| Golden feathers | The queen's currency of choice | Collect enough to access the royal abode — this is the main-goal collectible |
| Trinkets | Passive equipment earned or bought | Build-defining perks (full effects) |

Golden feathers: the goal that gates the ending route
The queen wants golden feathers for her royal gown; reviewers describe your adventure as gathering enough golden feathers to access the royal abode. Treat feathers as the story-progress collectible rather than optional loot — missing a feather route usually means a locked door, not a worse build.
Time trials
Scattered challenge rooms ask for near-perfect platforming in 10–20 second gauntlets. Reviews call them the game's best- executed platforming: tight, short, and satisfying. They pay extra currency, and that currency buys trinkets — trials are effectively a build accelerator, not just a trophy run.
No-hit and death match challenges
Alongside trials sit no-hit combat challenges (described as "death match challenges" in reviews). Rules: clear the fight without taking damage; reward: extra currency. Since healing raises attack power temporarily, a clean run and an aggressive run are easier to combine than they sound.
Map support for collectors
- The map's top bar shows a dedicated PAGES tab, so storybook page counts are trackable in-game.
- Transparent map markers highlight collectibles directly.
- Custom markers let you pin routes for a later sweep once a new ability opens the wall you could not break.
Not yet itemized
A per-biome list of page and letter locations needs a full playthrough to verify — we will not post guessed coordinates. If you have completed a sweep, send the route and we will publish it with credit.
